It’s closer than you think!"   THE ARTIST...JoeSam. is a mixed media painter and sculptor. He pursued a career in human services until 1984 when, at 45, he quit his job to devote himself full-time to his art. His commissioned works include sculptures for MGM, a library for senior citizens, a public health center, and a train station. In the Bay Area, his sculptural works can be seen in an installation at the Mountain View Civic Center Plaza, wall sculptures for the Tassafaronga Gym in Oakland, the Ice Centre of San Jose, and cutouts on the fence of the Tenderloin Playground in San Francisco.
