I then smashed a mouse with a sledgehammer, forcing its structure into new shapes. The pieces were then arranged and integrated into the frame with resin. From this, I built out with more resins, creating a new whole from shattered fragments. All the while, I allowed the piece to emerge through the creative process. "   THE ARTIST...Coming from a family of many encouraging artists, Shawn Man was creating as soon as he could grasp. He studied at Carnegie Mellon and University of the Arts, and works with a vast range of materials. His work has been highlighted in solo and group shows. He also leads a successful career creating unique commissioned environments.
