I thought Lakshmi would be appropriate to the event, as she is called upon to bring wealth and good fortune, as is indicated by the coins falling from her hands and the lotus. I installed her into bejeweled lotus flowers and leaves.   THE ARTIST...Annie Sperling is an artist living in Los Angeles. She works designing an eccentric house in the Hollywood Hills. She has painted over twenty murals in the Los Angeles area. She is currently painting a series of showgirls that document local performers and the resurgence of burlesque entertainment. This is her second year as a Tails of the City artist. She is honored to be a part of the Destination Foundation’s fundraising efforts.
